Corona Treatment is a surface modification process that increases the surface tension of polymer films. The process works by passing the film through a corona discharge, generated between high-voltage electrodes and an earth roller covered with a dielectric silicon sleeve. 

This process oxidises the film surface, improving its wettability and making it more receptive to inks and adhesives.
